Bug Description

I am debugging a large XWindows program.
In the past (some mounthes ago)with gdb I could set a breakpoint on a callback and debug it.
[this was not true for popup callbacks in this case all the system was blocked and a reboot was necessary]
Presently the breakpoint is honoured but the keyboard focus is lost for the terminal and I cannot type anything.
The terminal must be closed at higher level.
Any suggestion?
Thank You in advance
Mario De Poli

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

Dear Sirs
If I had more information I had supplied.
the facts are:
I must use Open Motif widgets together with Xt and Xlib.
In the near past it was possible (can't say which update caused it)
The focus loosing in popup callbacks was total (keyboard and mouse) I had to switch off the computer to restart
Currently I get the correct output of reaching breakpoint from gdb but can't type anything.
The mouse is working, from the visual point of view, for selecting terminal window.
At this point, I can only close the terminal with the close button supplied by window manager.
I don't think that the cause is from gdb ( may be X11 sync ?)
If You need more I will be happy to collaborate
Best regards (ciao)
