Bug Description

Binary package hint: mono-mcs

I have a Lenovo x60 Model 6365CTO running the latest gutsy build. When I try to install the mono-mcs package through either aptitude or apt-get the system freezes and the caps lock light blinks continually. I can not get any response and I must reboot.

I don't mean to sound dismissive, but there's no possible way for the symptoms you describe to be caused by installing mono-mcs - at a push, there's something terribly wrong with your kernel or RAM, but mono-mcs package installation is a simple unzip job - it does not go near your hardware enough to cause problems of this nature
