Bug Description

Standby battery life on the BQ Aquaris E4.5 (RTM) is now very good but seems to drain fast when in use.

Specifically for me listening to music on the device with the screen off but to bluetooth headphones the battery life seems to plummet.

I would not expect battery life to fall so fast just playing back MP3s (from 7Digital).

Hi Gareth, thanks for filing this bug and taking time to make Ubuntu better! There are battery life fixes to the platform in Vivid that might help some of this. Could you submit some of the log files to ensure the app wasn't doing anything in the meantime?

1. /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/application-click-com.ubuntu.music_music_*.log
2. /home/phablet/.cache/upstart/mediahub.log

Victor attached are the closest files I could find to what you requested.

I'm happy to grab more files etc if necessary.

Gareth,

Could you attach the "mediascanner-2.0.log" file from the same directory? What you are experiencing could be a bug [1] where mediascanner-2.0 causes the battery to drain quickly.

You don't seem to be suffering from the bug I mentioned. I'll try to do some bluetooth speaker related testing over the weekend and report back. Thanks!
