Bug Description

System: Kubuntu 14.04.2
Kernel: 3.16.0-30-generic / 3.16.0-34-generic (after update)

Symptoms on a netbook Medion E1231T

- On battery - Kubuntu pauses 30 seconds after the message "Will now halt" or prior to rebooting the system without further messages

- but powers off immediately after Hibernate (Suspend to disk)

- On AC - Netbook staas powered on after the message "Will now halt" or prior to rebooting the system without further messages or after suspending
- Only a hard reset (Power button pressed fpr 5 seconds or so) will power down the netbook

Expected behaviour:

- Kubuntu powers off immediately after shutdown / reboots immediately.
