Bug Description

For example, consider a window with two horizontal split panes:

|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX| <---- It should be possible to swap out the
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX| terminal in this split with another,
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX| but still keeping this one alive,
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX| which would then not be visible
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX| anymore, but still accessible
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX|
|XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX|
