Jordilz, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As there is a de-emphasis of support for 32-bit operating systems, could you please test for this via http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/vivid-desktop-amd64.iso and advise to the results?

Sorry for delay in replying

I tested Ubuntu 15.04 from live CD. without installing

The result:

Start well, but when I click on the "X" in the Help window hotkey, of unity, the screen goes black and I can only see the cursor.
So I can only restart the PC

Thank you for your attention

Jordilz, so if you actually install it, does that issue persist?

As well, if you switch to GNOME Flashback (Metacity/Compiz) does this WORKAROUND the Unity issue noted in the live environment?

As I can switch to gnome flashback?

I install a version of Ubuntu without Unity?

Sorry. And I know how to do it.
I will install gnome flashback and comment the results.
Thanks for the patience

I've done a clean install of Ubuntu 64-bit and tested only with the free Nouveau driver with the following result:

With Unity:
Sign well until login screen. No flickering, screen freezes and perfect transparency.

When I open the Dash, the screen flashes. With "Shut Down" window as well. With thunderbird when browsing folders, the screen is frozen and unresponsive, having to restart after, etc ...

Metacity:
All Ok so far.

Compiz:

Several problems, but I have to keep trying

I have to say that my problems with the Nvidia driver start with the first version of Ubuntu with Unity and have been getting worse with each version so far.

With version 14.04 and 14.10 with Nouveau same problems and with Nvidia Driver only frozen window with LibreOffice Calc (not always).

RAM memory consumption increased with Unity and less with Compiz

Jordilz, just to clarify, if you the nvidia driver from the Ubuntu repositories as outlined in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia with GNOME Flashback (Metacity), does it also provide a WORKAROUND?

Agreed. I will consult in this way and try yo find a solution.

Add that I'm having problems with Metacity and Compiz version.

In particular Metacity, when I use the zoom in Google Maps, xorg unresponsive
