Bug Description

Cairo-Dock V3.4.0
Linux Mint (Cinnamon) 17.1

New launcher is not inserted correctly when there is(are) existing launcher(s) for the same app with different name, command parameters and icon.

1. On the desktop create a launcher:

   NAME: Anki-SOPHIA
   COMMAND: anki "~/Anki/Users/SOPHIA"
   ICON IMAGE: ~/.local/share/icons/anki-sophia.jpg

   Drag and drop onto CD subDock "LEARNING".
   Everything is correct.

2. Do it all again

   NAME: Anki-JOHN
   COMMAND: anki "~/Anki/Users/JOHN"
   ICON IMAGE: ~/.local/share/icons/anki-john.jpg

   Drag and drop on C-D main Dock or subDock "LEARNING".

   You get a duplicate of #1.

   Same if you d&d the generic icon (launcher) for the app from desktop or sys menu.

    You CAN edit the incorrect launcher in C-D and correct it.

   You CAN create a correct new launcher directly with C-D "ADD" but it defaults to the last custom icon defined rather than the app's generic icon.

   Not tested with other apps.

TIA

Hello and thank you for this bug report,

Do you also have this bug when manually adding a new launcher from scratch? e.g. Right click on the dock / Cairo-Dock / Add / Custom Launcher.

Regards,

Matt

No. There does not appear to be a problem adding launcher that way.

Assuming the problem might be related to specific applications, I tested
with three that have given me the problem using drag and drop.

1. * COMMAND: calibre --using library "Fiction"*
             NAME "Fiction Library"
             ICON ~/.local/share/icons/calibre-fiction.jpg
             CONTAINER = MEDIA (sub-dock)
         where there are two existing similar launchers in the same
container differing in library parameter, NAME and ICON.

2. * COMMAND: zim
"/home/johnb/Documents/Doc.Critical/Brain/zimWIKI/zim-BRAIN/notebook.zim" *
             NAME "zim-LENR"
             ICON ~/.local/share/icons/calibre-fiction.jpg
             CONTAINER = BRAIN (sub-dock)
         where there are three existing similar launchers in the same
container.

3. *COMMAND: **firefox https://www.wunderlist.com/#/lists/inbox**
* NAME "WunderList"
             ICON ~/.local/share/icons/calibre-fiction.jpg
             CONTAINER = BRAIN (sub-dock)
         where there is one existing similar launcher in a different
container (main dock).

There was no problem with these three. All three of these created
problems in the past in two cases:
             A. Existing launcher on menu (Linux Mint Cinnamon) copied
to desktop, modified then D&D to cairo-dock and edit into proper container.
             B. New launcher created directly on desktop then D&D to
cairo-dock and edit into proper container.

Thank you for the prompt attention.
