Bug Description
My Dell Inspiron 8600 has an NVidia GO 5200+ with an LCD at resolution 1680x1050
(16:10)
The right resolution is detected, however it does not work, and comes up at
1400x1050 instead.
This problem exists with both nv and nvidia binary drivers (logs of nv driver in
use)
The relevant error seems to be: (II) NV(0): Not using mode "1680x1050" (no mode
of this name)
The modeline I use to fix this is:
Modeline "1680x1050" 147.14 1680 1784 1968 2256 1050 1051 1054 1087
A website for my specific laptop suggests the following set of modelines for
16:10 displays. as you can get this laptop in 1280x800, 1680x1050 or 1920x1200.
