Bug Description

I'm having problems getting FreeIPA Server 4.0.5 from the https://launchpad.net/~freeipa/+archive/ubuntu/4.0 PPA working on Trusty. ipa-server-install is not completing successfully. I'm getting this error among others:

That's new, but wouldn't be the last error in the process.. I'll remove the package from the ppa.

the problem is that it would take too much of an effort to port it to upstart, just for one release

Understood. Would you mind leaving the client packages up. 4.0.5 client works fine on Trusty.

yes, uploaded a package which only builds the client
