Bug Description

I subscribe to this podcast and never seems to quiet work with Podbird, other ones work great:

* download length is not recognised. The version in the store says something like 32492203% downloaded and counting. While the new version shows the far is full straight away
* download fails sometimes halfway through and re-downloads do not work at all

It might be they are using a different format that is triggering a bug? once it does download eventually, it can be played fine.

Thanks,

Victor

We have improved this behaviour nicely in v0.6.beta4 where we now show a bouncing progress bar to indicate that its being downloaded. Unfortunately this happens when Ubuntu Download Manager (UDM) returns really high percentages which don't make sense. It is an upstream bug that we are tracking at bug 1420853. I think that's the best fix we can come up with downstream in Podbird.

As for the "download fails sometimes halfway through and re-downloads do not work at all" issue, I haven't noticed that. I will see if I can reproduce that.
