Bug Description

This is kind of annoying to me. It would be nice if Audience would open paused.

It's configurable in dconf, it should be as simple as switching the default org.pantheon.audience playback-wait to true

Actually may be more complex; that key will also make Audience wait after choosing a file to open whereas it should only wait when opening the window.

it can be dependent from the state of player:

video was playing on closing "audience": -> on next start up, video starts to play automatically. else it doesn't.

last state can be saved in org.pantheon.audience playback-wait.

Yeah tbh I don't think we should save the play/pause state. I've never opened Audience and had it start playing and had that be a good feeling. IMO it should always open paused.

I think opening a file while the app is open is a different case. I would expect it to autoplay in that case.

Actually, after chatting with Daniel, I think it makes more sense to just always open the player paused. If you choose a file, it makes sense to start playing immediately, but I've never thought, "That's what I wanted" when Audience start playing when it opened. More often it's a scramble to pause it or turn down the sound or something.
