Alternative install gets nvidia resolution wrong

Bug Description

Binary package hint: debian-installer

nvidia drivers enabled but the login gets teh resolution worng and puts a virtual desktop of 1600 X 1400 when it should be 1278 x 1024 (using a compaq TFT8020 on amd 64 athlon

Thanks for reporting this bug, however you've not provided enough information to debug this issue. Please attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf and /var/log/Xorg.0.log files, and the output from lspci -vvnn and xresprobe <driver>.

Closing the bug report due to no input from the reporter. Besides, Hardy does not use xresprobe anymore.
