blank screen after start ubuntu live daily build 20070924 with ATI video card with pci id 1002:5a62

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Gutsy(7.10) daily build 20070924
"Start or install ubuntu" will give blank screen.
must restart labtop.

Must select "start ubuntu in save graphics mode"
This will start live ubuntu CD in 1024*768 resolution
Install ububtu to harddisk
restart computer
resolution in still 1024*768

must install propertary ATI driver from the internet.
Restart computer
resolution is now the correct 1280*800

I have download tribe 4 and 5 live cd.
Tribe 4 work fine.
Tribe 5 blank screen!

I seem to be having the same problem with the gutsy beta cd, except the safe graphics mode doesn't work either. I was able to get the lspci and Xorg logs via one of the virtual ttys. The feisty cd does not have this same problem.
