I cannot install fglrx 2:3a 15.200-0ubuntu0.3_amd64.deb on my 14.04 LTS system. whether I use dpkg or apt-get install fglrx*, with aticonfig --initial. it stops with installation error from the .deb package. When I boot to that drive and log in, it goes into a boot loop. I can log in on a terminal. I have tried twice to mv my .Xauthority to backup copies assuming a new one would be created on boot up, but no avail.
