Bug Description

I seem to have this crash on every install, every time, at the same point (3 so far, 2 with Kubuntu and now 1 on Ubuntu).

The first time I couldn't get past the grub command prompt (though I didn't really try). The second time Kubuntu installed fine, but I still got the error. I haven't restarted yet to see what happens now.

Apparently I can only attach one file, but if you need more information I can probably reproduce this.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it seems that there is a problem with your installation media (CD/DVD). You can verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you downloaded by following the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM. You might also retry your installation with new media. In the event that is is not in fact an error with your installation media please set the bug's status back to New. Thanks and good luck!

I checked the media through the installer utility prior to install each time.

The installation was done via usb all three times. The first 2 installs of Kubuntu were done from a usb made in OS X with the unetbootin utility. The usb for the Ubuntu install was made from the Startup Disk Creator utility in Kubuntu.
