GIMP application printing and LaserJet 1012

using default settings in GIMP application, hardware "hp LaserJet 1012" will
spit out...

              %%Creator: Print plug-in V4.2 for GIMP/Gimp-Print 4.2.7 (15 Jul 20

...and then a bunch of empty pages.

I'm not sure what is causing this but it may be related to bug #14456.

Workaround: change the "lp -s -dLaserJet-1012 -oraw" command line.
- GIMP | Print | [Setup Printer...]
- select printer model "Postscript Level 2"
- set the command line to be "lp -s -dLaserJet-1012" instead.

Same problem. HP Deskjet 935C (shared from Windows XP Pro Computer
