Bug Description

I'd like to sync contacts to a private server. CardDAV is an appropriate protocol for this.

well, you _can_ use syncevolution in a terminal to sync a carddav account manually, but it's pretty confusing to set up and the terminology makes no sense and you can't set up cron jobs on the phone and ...

Yes, that's really impressing. But syncevolution gave me errors with my server and I tried it 4 times. In the end I had 4 phone books in my contacts app. None of them was synchronized and there was no howto how to delete them again.

But if you ignore this and the mentioned disadvantages, Android and Apple users goes green with envy when watching Ubuntu phone users synchronizing contacts.
