Bug Description

You cannot dequeue a download once enqueued and some episodes get stuck in perpetual “enqueued for download” and never complete their download.

Thanks for taking the time to test the beta and report this bug. I just release v0.6.beta2 which addresses one of the issues pointed out by you. You can find the download link and the beta 2 changelog at http://nik90.com/podbird-v0-6-call-for-testing/.

Let me address the issues you pointed out one by one,

1. This is indeed true. You cannot remove a episode from the queue. The reason for that is to avoid overloading the current popup with more action buttons. Perhaps we might need to add a "Downloads" page where one can see all the episodes being currently downloaded/ or in the queue and provide specific actions like removing from queue there.

The episodes getting stuck in perptual "enqueued for download" state could be due to network conditions or the download server being busy. I am not entirely sure, but I will have check through the code.

2. This issue has been fixed in v0.6.beta2. Please update to it and see if you are happy with the fix.

3. This has been the next most popular request "SD card support". We are already tracking this in bug 1437664.

Let's modify this bug report to track issue #1 as the other 2 have been fixed/tracked in other places.

Just to add some more detail to this: perhaps a download queue (or play queue of downloaded episodes) is needed to know what episodes are downloading.
If podcasts are old and hidden within the podcast lists it is not easy to know what is downloading and you cannot find the download you may want to stop.
Keep up the great work.

I have the same problem with the downloads queuing en masse. It led me to believe that there is a hard limit of the number of podcasts that can be downloaded to the device..

This problem is compounded by not being able to dequeue items, as it leaves the user with no way to resolve there problem. Really frustrating when there is just one specific show you want to bring in, and it won't do anything by say "Queued for Download"
you then got to try clear other podcasts from the queue and this is no way to do that..

Now that we have moved to DownloadManager{}, this should be doable.
