Bug Description

Fresh install as noted in report.
Software & Settings will not run. Throws Apport errow when clicked, thus preventing me from completely updating settings and setup after new install.

I would say something happened in the install.
Before I forget, not a major issue; but the slide show panels display 13.10 instead of 14.x during the install which could confuse someone when installing Trusty.
