Bug Description
Pixelitor is a free and open source image editing software that supports layers, image effects, multiple undo etc. It requires Java 8.

Having a package for this would be excellent, as it would be better integrated into the system then. It's also a very powerful and useful program that doesn't have a Linux package at all as far as I know for the moment, not even for older versions.
I contacted the author and got permission to submit it to GetDeb.
