Cannot install new dictionaries in OpenOffice.org

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

It's impossible to install extra dictionaries in OpenOffice.org.
I click on File->Wizards->Install new dictionaries... and the DicOOo window opens.
When I click on English or Nederlands (Dutch) and then click on the Start DicOOo button, a tiny window appears.
The window is too small, contains no scrollbars and it's not possible to resize the window. It's impossible to see all of the contents.

I am using Gutsy and OpenOffice.org version 1:2.3.0~rc1-1ubuntu2

Do you still have this problem on the final version of Ubuntu 7.10 OpenOffice 2.3.0? Also do you have openoffice.org-base installed?

The problem still exists in the final version.
openoffice.org-base is installed. Version: 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5

However, the problem is gone when I disable the desktop effects.
I attached a screenshot which shows the problem.

I have this problem too. Something strange is that it works on an Ubuntu installation but not on Kubuntu... it has to be confirmed though.

I confirm this bug report with :

compiz 1:0.6.2+git20071119-0ubuntu1~gutsy1
openoffice.org 1:2.3.0-1ubuntu5.3

Now the real question is : Does this problem is in OpenOffice or in Compiz?

The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the actively developed release.
