This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1443155

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

If, due to the nature of the issue you have encountered, you are unable to run this command, please add a comment stating that fact and change the bug status to 'Confirmed'.

This change has been made by an automated script, maintained by the Ubuntu Kernel Team.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.0 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

ajithmemana, could you please boot into the default Ubuntu kernel (not a mainline one) and then execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1443155

@Christopher I couldn't boot with my default kernel(3.13). Booting freezes at the following line

[5.872093] hidraw: raw HID events driver(c) Jiri Kosina
[5.895810] sdphcp: Standard Hot Plug PCI Controller Driver Version:0.4

I waited for around 10 minutes before restarting the laptop.

Meanwhile i updated my Kernel from 3.18 to 3.19 rc4 and found some improvements with bluetooth. I can now search, discover and pair devices. I tried sending a few files also. Its working. But now the issue is i cannot still connect to my bluetooth speaker(JBL Micro wireless). The device pairs normally and shows "Loudspeaker" in the list. I click the item and select "Connect to: Audio Sink".
This is the error message i am getting.
"Connection Failed: Stream setup failed" .

The same is the error i get when selecting "Audio Source" for my Nexus 7.

I was able to boot into the latest Kernel (4.0 rc7) by changing the OS type to Windows 7 in BIOS.
I have tried the latest kernel. Issue seems not to be resolved. I can connect to devices, send files, but i cannot connect to my bluetooth speaker(JBL Micro wireless). The device pairs normally and shows "Loudspeaker" in the list. I click the item and select "Connect to: Audio Sink".
