Bug Description

When starting the Low Water activity on the Settle & Carlisle Line, which specifies the following fuel levels:

  FuelWater ( 20 )
  FuelCoal ( 100 )
  FuelDiesel ( 100 )

I start the activity with my steam locomotive with 100% coal and 100% water. This is clearly wrong.

The same is true for coal.

Diesels have the same problem.

The problem is there only if the Autopilot option is checked. Now the philosophical problem arises if autopiloted trains (that are a sort of AI trains, which don't care about fuel levels) should take care of these parameters or not.

Ah, that's interesting. Does that mean the checkbox could have other undesirable effects on the player? I.e. should we recommend leaving it unchecked if you're actually intending to play the activity yourself?

In fact my aim is to have the player train running the same way with or without the Autopilot checkbox checked. I oversaw the aspect of the fuel levels. I'm checking if there is a simple way to uniform also this and will report here. However, in the time intervals the train is run in autopilot mode, there won't be fuel consumption and I'm not sure if the preceding fuel level will be maintained or if it jumps to 100%. I'll check also this.

OK, I have the patch.
With the patch the fuel level is taken from the activity file (if any) also if the autopilot checkbox is checked. The fuel level decreases both if (with autopilot checkbox checked) the train is autopiloted or is driven by the player, and there are no jumps in levels when passing between the two modes.
