Audacious Equalizer is very bad and use to much CPU

Bug Description
Binary package hint: audacious
Audacious have a very bad Equalizer (bad noise and huge cpu usage), the xmms one is very better and use less cpu (100% for audacious, nothing more for xmms).
I have tried to compile the last SVN of Audacious 1.4 and it work better !! (like xmms)

Comparisons against xmms are not acceptable, as audacious is not xmms.
Additionally, the equalizer works 100% fine for me (Audacious 1.3.2-4) on my laptop.
(Everywhere else I use audacious hg tip.)
