Bug Description

There is still the goal to remove Python2 from the desktop images, and to use Python3 only. please build bindings for Python3

FWIW there are currently no Python3 bindings upstream, though there is some work going on to add Python3 support upstream.

looks that at least upstream 2.1.3 has python3 support.
