Bug Description

Hello,

Apparently, the 'gnus' package of Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (7.04) does not set 'mail-source-delete-incoming' variable to a non-nil value. Thus the Incoming* files are kept in the ~/Mail/ directory.

It might be because the gnus Debian package is a development version of Gnus (http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2000/12/msg01164.html).

To avoid that, one would need to do in some configuration file of Gnus:
  (setq mail-source-delete-incoming t)

It might be even better to set the value to 1 or two days to keep files around for a short time in case of issue:
 (setq mail-source-delete-incoming 3)

Yours,
david

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 RC or later?
