save it to desktop,
right click it and properties,

the properties window will try to open but will crash

...when you hover a mouse pointer over the schematic.pdf (on the desktop) same thing appears to be happening as opening the properties window,

This is happening for me and I would like to confirm this bug, but I think it needs more information to proceed with.

I can confirm that this file (for whatever reason) will crash Dolphin, Konqueror and KDesktop, simply by hovering over the file. You can also crash any program by selecting the properties for the file. Interestingly, opening it in KPDF isn't a problem.

These are the programs/versions
Dolphin: 0.9.2-0ubuntu1
Konqueror: 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu23
KDesktop: 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu23

The backtrace left behind after the crash (SIGSEGV 11) are all the same;

Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1".
[Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled]
[New Thread -1234037056 (LWP 31462)]
[KCrash handler]
#6 0xb67c4610 in rawmemchr () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#7 0xb67b9396 in ?? () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#8 0x00000000 in ?? ()

I don't know how to get any more information out of this problem yet.

Okay I tried following some steps in the BugSquad - Backtrace section of the Wiki [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace

Here are the GDB Backtraces from Dolphin/Konqueror/KDesktop (with debugging symbols)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Now that the final version of Gutsy Gibbon is available we were wondering if this issue still exists. Thanks in advance.
