virtualbox conflicts with lts-utopic backport stack

Try to install virtualbox-guest-x11 on a machine with the lts-utopic backport stack results in the following conflict:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
virtualbox-guest-x11 : Depends: xorg-video-abi-15
Depends: xserver-xorg-core (>= 2:1.14.99.902)

Inspecting xserver-xorg-core-lts-utopic I can see that xorg-video-abi-18 is provided (and not -15).

I was able to work around this version conflict with the virtualbox-lts-utopic packages from
ppa:costamagnagianfranco/virtualbox-ppa
