everything is fine apart from i get on screen notifications
but no sound notifications
so i went to notifications and i get two telegram entries one with no icon
ive tried switching both and off and de selecting the one with no icon but still no sound notifications just screen notifiactions

but when re install i get both notification icons back innotifications
is there a way when i remove i can remove any folders lurking around so i get a clean install?

Hi Wayne, thank you for your bug report.

Regarding the double entry in Notification settings, it's actually because Telegram also ships with a scope, it's a Settings app bug we're fixing, it's tracked here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libqtelegram/+bug/1434181

Regarding lack of sound, there's a bug filed here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1413818
However, you mentioned this happened after you upgraded Telegram - I will try reproduce this later today.

PS since you asked - to get a clean 'Telegram' state, you can:
adb shell "rm -rf /home/phablet/.cache/com.ubuntu.telegram"
adb shell "rm -rf /home/phablet/.config/com.ubuntu.telegram"

Thanks for the reply
the notification lurks around
I did clean install which had the telegram app pre-installed

remove the app
removed the files using

adb shell "rm -rf /home/phablet/.cache/com.ubuntu.telegram"
adb shell "rm -rf /home/phablet/.config/com.ubuntu.telegram"

and its still in notifications twice so it must put more files somewhere
else ..

Wayne
