As long as I keep the torrent app closed, I can browse/
I've got no clue what's causing this. Only thing I know is this stopped working sometime after upgrading to the current 15.04 alpha. This happens on two different OpenVPN providers.

Hi,
I was experimenting with openvpn this morning and couldn't get it to drop a connection with multiple torrents consuming almost all my connection provides.
I'd ask you to test with 16.04 if possible if you can recreate it there.
In that case please share a bit more how much torrent BW you consume between which peers the VPN is and what bandwidth those have and so on.
