Hi,
I noticed what music with special charaters in path are not readeable.
I store my music like this : Artist/album/song
Here is an example :
Will.i.am/Scream & Shout/01 - Scream & Shout.mp3 => playable
Will.i.
Will.i.

Hi RICQ David! Thanks for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better! I can confirm that the '#' character causes the MP3 not to play. Additionally, it also causes the thumbnails to not work, for the same reason one would suspect. This bug affects both the music app and the music scope.
URI decoding probably needs to be done at certain places in the scope/media- scanner/ media-hub and the music app.
