I store my music like this : Artist/album/song

Here is an example :

Will.i.am/Scream & Shout/01 - Scream & Shout.mp3 => playable
Will.i.am/#thatPOWER/01 - #thatPOWER.mp3 => not playable stay at 0:00

Hi RICQ David! Thanks for filing this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better! I can confirm that the '#' character causes the MP3 not to play. Additionally, it also causes the thumbnails to not work, for the same reason one would suspect. This bug affects both the music app and the music scope.

URI decoding probably needs to be done at certain places in the scope/media-scanner/media-hub and the music app.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Although this bug was reported first, bug 1449790 has more information and is against the correct affected project so it is easier to mark this as a duplicate of it, so it is being marked as such. Please look at the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you can provide, or to see if there is a workaround for the bug. Additionally, any further discussion regarding the bug should occur in the other report. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.
