Bug Description

cups/printer.conf and its backup cups/printer.conf.0 are dynamically-created files. They are updated more than once daily on my system. Shouldn't they be added to .gitignore? Am I overlooking any possible problem?

Actually it is
cups/printers.conf

They shouldn't be added to the default .gitignore, because they are real configuration files. Instead, cups shouldn't keep updating the date in that file. If a user wishes, they can manually put that file into their .gitignore.
