Save as EPS: text fill from black to transparent

Situation: SVG made in Inkscape, containing text (black fill, black outline). Save as EPS, using default options. Resulting EPS-file imported in MS Word: text fill is now white (or transparent?).

The problem is visible in the word "Leefkamer".

Based on the cairo version extracted from the EPS file (cairo 1.14.1 [1]), this is not related to bug 813886 because that report tracks an issue which only affects older cairo versions and was fixed with the release of stable cairo 1.12.
