Vivid now use systemd

upstart-bin is still a dependency needed by unity-greeter
(which is a transitional package since upstart now contains upstart-bin binaries.)

unity-greeter might also use systemd to replace upstart

I had a problem after updating to Ubuntu 15.04 which same logs in xsession-errors. After many tests I determined that I had the files "start" and "stop" in /home/{user}/bin which was added as path. upstart-event-bridge seems to use start and stop also and may not use a full path calling.

I recently installed Ubuntu 15.04, and in trying to use chrome-remote-desktop, I get the same errors when trying to use lightdm-session to start a gnome-session. I can connect then, but the screen I get is black, there is no login screen presented like there is with my 14.10 install using chrome-remote-desktop.

I have the same problem. I installed again apt-get install gdm, xubuntu-desktop, lubuntu-desktop however I haven't found a way to get past the login screen.
