Computer freezes on Black screen when locking computer

When I go to luck my computer (super + L, or any of the automatic "lock my computer" methods there are), The screen remains on, but it is black except for a blinking white cursor in the upper left hand corner, almost like I'm supposed to type something, or some text is going to appear. I end up having to do a forced restart, because it does not respond to anything.
