Bug Description

An attempt to create a LUN failed because it would have caused the pool to exceed its percent full threshold and its auto-delete pool full high watermark. Either add more space to the pool, or specify "-ignoreThresholds" to force the create

I'm confused, wasn't that the whole point of adding pool support? Maybe some additional info in the description would be useful, the way it reads now seems like things just "worked" the way they were expected to.

Ya, it looks like it worked as designed. This is more like an enhancement request rather than a bug. Jeegn, can you please confirm?

Yes, it work as designed.

But we are also considering to make some improvement to make the failure more elegant (For example, report smaller free capacity to make the Cinder Scheduler filter out the backend instead).

This bug was opened as a followup of another launchpad defect 1364554 - which was fixed in Kilo driver, but the problem continued to exist. Chen asked me to open another bug.
1364554 addressed : There is insufficient free space in the pool to complete the operation. Please add storage to the Pool and retry. (0x712d8709)
This bug will address : An attempt to create a LUN failed because it would have caused the pool to exceed its percent full threshold and its auto-delete pool full high watermark. Either add more space to the pool, or specify "-ignoreThresholds" to force the create

From our perspective, we are not able to create a volume whose size is same as pool size.
