Rectangle and Rectangle Select and crop and curropted selection appears

Pinta 1.7.0.131 on Windows 7.

This is not easy to reproduce, it happened so many times to me that it hurts, but I was just not been able to reproduce it sufficient to have step-by-step instructions, but not hopefully I have:

1. New image 300 x 300.
2. Rectangle and draw rectangle somewhere in the middle of the canvas.
3. Rectangle Select and make selection outside of whole inner rectangle from step 2.
4. Crop to selection icon from toolbar.
5. Move mouse to canvas and move mouse to location somewhere near by end of arrow from attached image. Be very very patient. Mouse cursor changes from cross to hand and if at that position left mouse is pressed and pulled then strange selection appears. Problem.

... and this is not a regression problem. It appeared somewhere in the end of 1.6 (so bug appears in this official version too), but I was never able to reproduce it.

Now I installed 1.5 on Windows 7 and I can reproduce this problem too. But "hand" mouse icon does not appear on the same place, but it does appear on the left site of image. I think it is harder to get this "hand" mouse icon in 1.5, but I can still do. Patients is very important. So very slow mouse movements to get the hand icon somewhere on canvas.
