Bug Description

Basically, the system completely logged up when this happened, we can see the following trace on the console. Then we reset the box. The logs below are from /var/log/kern.log
It's not reproducible at the moment. The issue happened when we tried to stop a VM (qemu-system-x86) hosted on the box via OpenNebula VM management web interface.

Is there a way to figure out if this is a known issue that fixed on later kernel version?

A similar trace was reported upstream:
http://www.spinics.net/lists/kernel/msg1832757.html

It was reported that the following commit fixes this issue:
15b23ef nfsd4: fix corruption of NFSv4 read data

That commit was cc'd to stable, so it will get applied to to Trusty through the normal stable update process.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.0 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
