apt-get fails to install gqrx-sdr in 14.04

Bug Description
Greetings, I tried to install gqrx-sdr & got the errors below. I then tried to install the packages it was complaining about one by one & got no errors.
I tried this once with pre release on & off in the software center with the same results.
I ran a bunch of updates & autoremove, search for held packages etc. with the same result.
I reported it to the developer here:

as you can see I mentioned this there & was directed to submit as a separate bug.

If you are using 14.04.2 LTS (= recent 14.04 install), this was probably bug #1424466 now being fixed.
