Cinnamon 2.4 crashes when at Google Chrome site

Cinnamon 2.4.6 always crashes in Firefox and Google Chrome when browsing to Google Chrome download site at:
https://encrypted.google.com/chrome/index.html

Cinnamon also crashes when going to Chrome Store in Google Chrome. (always)

Screen goes black but power/wifi/HDD/bluetooth lights are on
Must force power off with power switch
