You may need to run the following from a terminal:

sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update

Then re-install the package.

If that does not resolve your issue, please mark the bug as "Confirmed"

In my case 'sudo apt-get install -f' revealed 'No space left on device'.
'df -k' confirmed that the /boot partition was full.

Removing some old kernel-image packages resolved the issue for me.

I checked my /boot partition and found that it only had 15MB left. Cleaning out some old images also fixed the problem for me.
