Union rectangle selection with delete key and undo getting into corrupted selection

Bug Description
Pinta dev 1.6.0.104 on Windows 7.
1. New image.
2. Rectangle Select and mark some area on canvas.
3. Press Ctrl key and mark some area to get a union selection.
4. Press Delete key to delete the area.
5. Undo and problem appears. Problem appears. I expect to have a union selection (state after step 3).
6. Move mouse to top-left edge and resize selection. What happens? Union selection is back.
