'ALPS Touchpad' not detected as PS/2 mouse in 'Acer Travelmate P253-E' after the kernel upgrade.

Hello,

when I did the basic instalation of the OS, the touchpad was working correctly, but after the upgrades the touchpad is not detected.

The release which I have installed is "Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release: 14.04".

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.19 kernel[0].
