Bug Description

Tested on Linux mint 17.1 x86 and x86_64.
The same does NOT happen on Ubuntu 14.04 x86_64 and Elementary OS Freya (beta 2) x86_64 so it's Mint specific.
(All tested systems were "freshly installed" and subsequently updated)

Hardware: HP 4540s (touchpad driver is i8042).

Steps to reproduce the bug:
- Put your finger on the left click button of the touchpad such that it partially touches the touch surface (you must have physical buttons separated from the touch surface).
- Press the button.

Expected behavior:
- Left click is triggered.

What happens instead:
- Half of the time a right click is triggered.

Hypothesis:
- The driver is misconfigured in regard to some thresholds (e.g. palmcheck and similar).

Haven't tried playing with the driver nor tested this behavior on other laptops but I will in the next days.

Thank you for your attention.

FIXED.

In the touchpad settings just disable the two-finger click emulation. It will fix the bug but the two-finger click gesture will still be there (which brings up the question: how can I disable it?).
