blank crypt passwrod screen useing Nvidia drivers

Bug Description
The lastest updated advised me to change to Nvida 304 drivers. After doing so, the Crypt password screen (boot HDD encryption) screnn is blank. I have to wait until "numlock" flashes before entering password. After this it works ok. Before changing to and if I revert back to xserver-org drivers the LM icon and password box reapears. Unfortunally I am having difficulties with video playback utilising the xserver-org drivers.
The problem is true with recommended Nvidia 331 (latest) drivers as well
