Bug Description

With atmosphere off (!!?), Neptun's and also Pluto's moons jitter.

I think only the halos jitter, the marker circles are ok. For dim moons, no body is drawn, so the jittering halo is quite apparent here.

Clearly a float/double issue! Why/where does this occur depending on atmosphere?

Jitter looks very similar to described in Bug #1411958
Appears only if atmosphere is turned on.

A fix has been committed as revision 7370 of the trunk branch of Stellarium's Bazaar repository at Launchpad: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~stellarium/stellarium/trunk/revision/7370

P.S. Re-introduce patch by Mykyta Sytyi from revision 5274.

@Nick: It is float/double-related, but actually also appeared on 32bit MinGW, so it is not compiler/platform dependent as the flickering moon. The blinking ring (#1416822) may be related, it is 64bit only.

I now thought StelSkyDrawer.postDrawSky3dModel() may need to be fixed as well, but the changes by Alex already seem to have solved the issue.

Just updated and rebuilt the latest sources from Bazaar.
I still see the same problem. Perhaps I watch a wrong direction. There are white rings around Neptune. They jitters/flikering if atmosphere is turned on.

Yes, it's a wrong direction, because the current report are related to jittering of the halos of the moons.
