Bug Description

A Lenovo G70 laptop working perfectly fine with linux-image-3.13.0-35-generic fails to boot with linux-image-3.13.0-43-generic (and linux-image-3.13.0-44-generic). When booting, last message is:

resume: libgcrypt 1.5.3

After that nothing further information is not printed on the console during the next 15 minutes. The failure occurs consistently when booting in "Recovery mode" as well and the boot process does not get far enough to even display the "Recovery menu".

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.19 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
