setting app freezes if left in the background too long

I've noticed lately that, if I leave the settings app open but unfocused overnight, it becomes unresponsive in the morning. I think it may be getting a backlog of events or something along those lines, because if it's only in the background for an hour it'll eventually become responsive when I try to use it again. I think the duration of unresponsiveness correlates with the duration it was left alone in the background.

This was on krillin rtm image 222, but has been happening for a while.

An easy workaround is to close the app and re-start it, but it probably shouldn't be getting stuck after being idle.

I haven't seen this happen since we transitioned to upower 0.99. Is the device plugged in during this time?

It has been plugged in each time. I'll have to check again to see if it's still an issue on the promoted 224 image, but so far it's actually looking pretty good. This morning it was unresponsive for only a few seconds before it caught up again, as compared to yesterday when I had to kill it and restart it.

Just confirmed this on krillin with 224
System settings was the last app I ran, left open to the battery panel
Charged fully overnight
Unplugged, unlocked, settings was unresponsive for around 15 secs, top showed it using around 100% cpu but no other processes were doing much

It does seem that the battery event issue is back
