applets cannot be found on login

Bug Description
Using Ubuntu Gutsy latest (as of Sept. 21, 2007)
When I start up the computer, all is well, but if I log out and log in again (for example, if I killed X), there are several dialog boxes that tell me that a few applets (including the Trash applet, Deskbar, user switcher, and music applet) could not be found. If I reboot, the problem is fixed.
