Bug Description
1. Open www.efneo.
2. At the bottom there is a circle with a mouse pictogram and an animated arrow. Click on it with your left mouse button, draw it a couple of cm and release the button. Now you should have a double mouse pointer with parts of the circle and mouse pictogram. Here it looks like this: http://
3. While both of the visible mouse pointers are somewhat distorted the left one is fully functional, also in other applications. (except on one of the systems I tested, where the mouse pointer went back no normal when closing Firefox)
I tried to reproduce this on 3 notebooks with Xubuntu and succeded on all of them. I also noticed that while I can see the strange mouse pointer on the screen I was not able to capture it with xfce4-screensho

This appears to potentially be the same bug as https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ xorg/+bug/ 1393169.
As mentioned there, I have the same problem in Utopic AMD64 with MATE 1.8.1; this began immediately on my upgrade from Trusty to Utopic and continues to the present. I have a double mouse pointer appear intermittently during web browsing (Firefos 35.0.1), often when click-dragging a link to open in new tab, and then it persists. Although two pointers are visible only the left pointer is active. If I log out and back in, the single mouse pointer is restored.
This is a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P with the latest BIOS, and I am fully updated on Utopic AMD64 with no broken packages etc.
